ENJOY The Paper Players Challenge PP742

 June 15, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

I am the hostess this week and I have a fun Clean and Simple Challenge for all of you!  "Feeling Fresh and Fruity" is the theme of the week.  Summer is the most fabulous time of the year to find fresh fruits in the market.  There are so many colorful and delicious choices and we can't wait to see what you create.  Just remember to keep  your card CAS.

 Minimal layers and embellishments
Plenty of open space
 Simple and uncluttered

I am a huge fruit lover and I really can't pick a favorite, but I will admit I do love tasty watermelon. Do you have a favorite fruit?   I started with a panel of watermelon rind DSP and a strip of seed DSP from Stampin Up's Fruit Salad paper pack.  The little girl is from My Favorite Things Pure Innocence collection -Sweet Summer.   I colored her with Copic Markers and paper pieced  a pair of polka dot shorts.  The row watermelon slices is from The Stamps of Life Watermelon2 stamp set.  I colored the pieces of watermelon and fussy cut the border.  The sentiment is from the same set.

Happy Birthday The Paper Players Challenge PP741

June 8, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The Sensational Stef is our hostess this week and she has a beautiful color combo for all of us.  This one just shouts Spring/Summer!  So get creative and have fun!

I started with a piece of peach polka dots and added 3 panels using the coordinating floral pattern from the Stampin Up paper pack called "You're a Peach" to create the background.  I used LeAnne's fabulous sketch from a few weeks ago.  It was perfect for my background.      The flowers are from Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms Etched Dies.  I used all the colors to create this bouquet.  I will admit this took some time to create.  Lots of die cutting and arranging the flowers but, I love how it turned out.  This birthday greeting was made for my niece, Sara.  These are her favorite colors.  I used a polka dot embossing folder on the flab of the envelope.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas The Paper Players Challenge PP740

 June 1, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

Can you believe it is June 1st?  This year is flying by!

The lovely Jan is our hostess this week and she has a fun Theme Challenge for all of us.  "Recyclin is In" and we want to see how you recycle an item to make your cards.

I loved this beautiful Christmas card I received from our own Elizabeth.  It was full of wonderful Christmas cheer.  I decided to make a 5 x 7 card with it.  I added a piece of Stampin Up Botanical Textures DSP to the background.  Then I added a black panel and trimmed the corners with a corner rounder.  I trimmed the card down as small as possible without losing any of the details.  I added more bling around the ornaments.  It was so easy to make this card and so fun to repurpose this lovely Christmas card!  Thank you, Elizabeth!
