Be Merry The Paper Players Challenge PP765

November 23, 2025

I would like to wish ALL of you a very special Thanksgiving week.  I love this holiday and I have so much to be thankful for.  I look forward to celebrating with family and enjoying the meaning of the day.  I will be cooking and always have wonderful memories of cooking with my Mom.  My parents loved Thanksgiving and I must admit, it is my favorite holiday, too!

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The amazing Ann is our hostess this week.  She has an amazing sketch for all of us.  SO many possibilities with this and a great way to use some scrap papers.  Have fun!

This card was so fun to create.  I found this paper in my stash and created the background.  Then I got a little carried away with the retro ornaments and fun details.  In hind sight, I should have backed my 3 horizontal panels with a solid color to make them pop, but I already had all the retro pieces glued.  I still love the way it turned out.  I used an old set called Avery Elle.  They are no longer in business.  The sentiment is from the same set.

Merry Christmas Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC374

November 23, 2025

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps

Laurie has a fabulous sketch for us this week.  You can make any type of card with this one.  We can't wait to see what you can create.

I was going through my stamps and found this Lawn Fawn Snow Globe Set and thought the rounded part would be perfect for this sketch.  I covered the light blue card base with a fun piece of snow paper.  The tag was cut with a die and embossed with a snowy embossing folder.  I did take the liberty of hiding my tag behind the globe because I didn't want to hide any of the fun snow scene I created.  (I hope Laurie won't mind.)  The pieces were colored with Copic Markers and cut with matching dies.  I added red and white Baker's Twine to the tag.

Merry & Bright The Paper Players Challenge PP764

 November 16, 2025

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.

The SUPER talented Stef is our hostess this week!  She selected "Favorite Holiday Images" for our Clean and Simple Challenge.  There are so many favorites to choose from.  Just remember to keep it CAS and have fun with this great theme.

I had a difficult time selecting an image.  I love all the symbols of Christmas.  I was going through my huge box of stamps and found this adorable Rudolph that had never been inked up.  I thought he needed some love.  I think all of us relate Santa with Rudolph so, I decided he needed his place among the symbols.  I started with an embossed panel using a snow flake embossing folder.  Then I added a panel of lemon lime card stock.  I rounded the corners with a punch.  The Rudolph was stamped using a retired Avery Elle stamp set called Reindeer Wishes.  They are no longer in business, but I loved their stamps and have several in my stash.  I colored the image with Copic Markers.  I added Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents to make the ornaments shine.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
